However dynamic and versatile Niels Van Heertum’s musical development evolves, in his own and deeply personal projects, he seeks peace and simplicity.
After his solo album in the beginning of 2017, he now steps forward with an acoustic quartet. In Veder the euphonium player is joined by companion Ruben Machtelinckx (BE) on guitar, and a characterful horn duo: Joachim Badenhorst (BE) on clarinets and saxophone and Eivind Lønning (NO) on trumpet.
Veder unites four pure instruments, stripped of most technological novelties or extensions. Instead the four musicians fully explore the acoustic possibilities of their instruments, to create new textures.
